Ask yourself this

what is the name of the guy who has all those shiny lorries............Eddie Stobbart

who supplies the gas in your area?...............its on the side of the van

That Branson guy has an airline oh what is it called???????????  oh yeah Virgin

Get the idea yet...................put sign writing on your van it works.

I stuck those single letters from Halfords in the begining cos i was skint even that made the phone ring and today we have sign writing on the roof of our vans and yes it works too. People in office blocks, builders up scaffold even  folk on buses they all see it and it makes us stand out

I only ever had one van sign written and i never noticed any extra work coming in because of it, we currently use 3 vans and they are all plain and a new van that comes next week will also be plain, i would say that 95% of the work we have obtained over the years has come via word of mouth.
I think though that when you are seeking more work then it could be an asset and definatley makes you look like your a proffesional, i like the idea of no livery on my vehicles as it means no one knows what the van does and with so many vehicles being stolen because of the value of equipment they carry thats not a bad idea.
A bad days fishing is better than a good days work !

quite right. people pay for advertising, and this can be as cheap as £40, (i paid £50 x 4 sides, my mate is a signwriter) and basically a mobile ad hoarding.
