I'm looking to start my round soon and with winter approaching (not that we've had a summer) I was thinking about buying some waterproof gloves. On the WCCentre website they sell these: http://www.windowcleancentre.co.uk/productdetails.aspx?ProductID=224&SectionID=24, SealSkinz Gloves. Does anyone know if they're effective? Does anyone know of ones that will actually work?

I have never got on with any of them. I just buy leather gardening gloves from homebase and change to a dry pair if they get wet. You can get leather treatment for gloves on the motorcycle sites if you want to go mad.

i use these, same as deep sea trawlermen use, so you can imagine the cold they put up with. they are made by showa too. they are used by refrigeration companies.

You can stick them in the washing machine at night 

They aren't particularly cosy but they are designed for use on oil rigs, which are in the north sea. They are a happy medium between warmth and practicality. You don't need to pull them off every 2 minutes. I take them off when I'm driving to the next job and stick them on the blower in winter.

I like normal simple powder free nitrile/latex gloves by the box of 150.  Double them up and they're suprisingly tough and keep your hands suprisingly warm.

Bought some of these last week and they do seem to be the business.  Nice to wear gloves but still have some sense of "feel".  Also makes a change to find a glove that actually fits my spades of hands.

Bought mine off fleabay as the delivery charges for the guys on your link were ambitious, to say the least.
