Anyone had dealings with this company as either customers or franchisees?
I'm thinking of going down the ovenu franchise path and would like any info/advice....I did read the other posts about ovenclean so I'm a bit wary!!
Thanks

Hi Tam,

Why do you want to franchise?, isn't it better to keep all the rewards for yourself rather than give a slice to the franchisor.

Cheers Mark.

Basically I have absolutely no knowlege of oven cleaning, I do think this is a market which is relatively untouched and I would like the backup of an established, preferably good, organisation behind me in case/when I need help and/or assistance.
Daniel, I searched this forum and I can only find bad feedback about "Ovenclean", no bad things about "Ovenu". If anybody comes across any please post a link to that thread and I'll have a gander..
Thanks for your replies.

hi, i had an ovenclean franchise, and to be honest, ide of put my money on stevie wonder winning the ashes for england!!!!DONT TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGE POLE !!!! as for franchising in the uk, it is not policed or regulated in any way if things go wrong, unless you throw big money at a franchise solicitor!!! give me a ring on 07008 099626 and ill tell you how to start on your own.

Quote as for franchising in the uk, it is not policed or regulated in any way if things go wrongGo Unquote So true!

Go to any bank they will be only to glad to give you money for a franchise start up, but be warned they are no different than the franchisor.

Talking to some one yesterday he’s leasing agent won’t touch some franchising companies.

Hi! Tam,

your concerns about franchises in general are right. How about Ovens R Us? We're a cost effective (£5,000 +VAT) franchise company that really delivers. You only pay a royalty per clean. No clean = no royalty, and that royalty includes the automatic supply of all chemicals and consumables. You are guaranteed your own territory plus a host of other benefits (including insurance and membership of the APCS) which we would be pleased to discuss with you anytime.

Please call us for a chat on Freephone 08003893675 anytime 24/7. regarding this or any other ovencleaning advice that you may require

Kindest Regards, Graham and Ed

As for ovencleaning being a relatively untouched service...........I very nearly went down the ovenclean franchise rout, until i bumped into one of their operatives who put me right off!
Started window cleaning instead-result! In our local advertiser there are NO window cleaners advertising, but there are THREE oven cleaning companys-NONE of which are ovenu or ovenclean!!
Which service is in greater need??  ;)

I am a Oven U franchisee and I am very pleased with the franchise, the marketing, the process and the support.  Its all first rate.  There is no better oven cleaning franchise on the market, give them a call and have chat.  The number is on www.ovenu.co.uk

I'm pretty sure this company was featured in the Sunday Times 2-3 years back. From memory it was a favourable article. You may want to search the Sunday Times archives for that article and any follow-ups.

Good luck

I take your point ghall but high windows, shakey ladders and me don't mix!  ;)
I'm just going by my local area which has some 100,000 people (roughly) within a 30 mile radius and I've only seen two Oven Cleaning Companies advertising.
To agree with your point tho...there was only one window cleaner advertising!! (this was in the local "free" paper).
Thanks for the input tho' much appreciated.
