Round Buying info please
« on: August 16, 2010, 06:46:22 pm »
Hi All
ive been offered a small round to add on to my own its only a baby round £320 Per month but it will fit in nicely with my round there allready his is an established round (4 years)
The guys asking for £600 ono is this about the going rate?
mostly small bungalows average is about £8.50 per house he says

Ive asked to see accounts
What else do i need to ask for
he has said he will drive with me to every customers house and introduce me to them
the only thing im a little worried about is that the round he is selling at present is all traditional work
I am 100% WFP

What are the things i need to ask and the things to se

Thanks in advance

what more do you want? Bargain price, fits where you already are and he is going to introduce you.
What else do you want.
I would snap his hand off before someone else does.

No I mean what do I need to see like round books etc
What's the normal in payment 50/50 etc
Should he come with me on first clean etc
The price isn't an issue just what do I need to see if you get me

I've never bought a round before

i would ask to go round with him on that round for a few weeks just to meet customers, if you dont some may cancel you as they dont know you.

i bought a round 6 yrs ago worth 21k per yr from a bloke who hit the drink and lost his license, i made the mistake of not going round with him but to my luck he was rubbish towards the end of his round as he was more up for drinking than doing a good job - so i did a good job, got them all up to a good standard and then i put up every price up and turned it into a 27k per yr round within 2 months... not bad as it only cost me 5k  8)

Got to have a little bit of trust on both sides when buying rounds.

I recently bought a small round off Bob Plumb ... showed me the list off George .. went around and did some cleans for a couple of hours ( well he cleaned and I carried the bucket  :D ) .. met a few customers if they were in ... paid him the money .... simples !  ;D

Been doing them for 2 months now no problems at all apart from the woman at 96 who keeps asking me for sex as Im so much better looking than the last windie  :o (only kidding Bob)
