Hi all,

I want to go wfp soon I have been looking at van mount systems but are to expensive at the moment. 

My question is if you have a back pack or trolley set up does it purify the water or do you need a seperate system for that..

and how much can i get it for.. Budget £1000

Some trollies have a filter attached but it's only resin so would be costly to run.
Better to purify your own at home with RO and resin and have a holding tank there.
A 200 or 300 GPD RO, a second hand holding tank, a trolley, some 25 litre containers, and a cheapish pole should be achievable for a grand.  A backpack will be cheaper than a trolley though if you rely totally on a backpack, you may beed a spare battery (or maybe even get two backpacks at about £110 each) because the battery may be struggling at the end of a longer day.

john hewitt sells the same model as omniploe a lot cheaper at £141 delivered a great piece of kit cheap robust pole on a budget i would go for the brodex hydra alloy then depending on your tap tds will determine ro or di vessel for your pure water and a few barrels from your local car washes to carry the water in

all in going di would be around £600 at most really cheap starter

You will need a TDS meter about £15 to check the PPM of your water.
If you DIY you could get yourself a van mount system and RO for under a grand.

I did mine myself, but it all depends how confident you are in your own ability.
I found it very straightforward, however other people prefer to have a company install the system for them. It is important to have the water tank 100% secure because of the weight you are carrying.
I've got the pump and flow controller in a pump box with a leisure battery which keeps everything nice and neat. So theres nothing complicated about it.
Once everything is in place its just a matter of making your hose connections, water tank to pump, pump to DI vessel and then DI vessel to the microbore hose reel which feeds your pole.
