Point is Darran £3100 is not cheap to most of us. 

If you could not fix it with your knowledge of designing and installing systems how could it be worth anyone elses time or money to do so when they lack your level of expertise?

and the original buyer ,the bulgarian , he too got ripped by the sounds of it   paying for a machine to get fixed but it  wasnt. very unethical all round

It'd be dead easy to fix,.. replace the Ionics resin cartridge with a standard DI & disable the RO-bak function,.. sorted!

At that price, even with problems its not a bad deal for what it is.
