looking to get a web site, dont really wanna spend over £100 per yr tho.

looking for about 4 pages. home, services ..... with pics ...

no good at all at the designing thing .... im guessing for the money i wanna spend im not gonna get it designed and done for me ...

what ever you do make sure the domain name (yournameyouwant.co.uk) is registered to you and not whoever does it for you.

i was told they would design it for me and they have done thousands of wc sites.

they use a pro picture company for images at no extra cost to me.

i would own the name in .com or co.uk

4 pages,domain name,email,hosting

their site is amcsinterent.co.uk

ive just found a voucher offer on a google search aswell.

so if i took out the £99 +vat bronze package - with the voucher i would get the following 12 months hosting for free

thanks. But i had a look about and you really do have to spend a bit to get a good result. I think mine was fanatstic for the money considering what some want to charge and the standard of design you get. If you want a website that costs a hundred quid then it will look like a website that cost 100 quid...sorry but its the truth!

i think you will find they r both profficent web designers

a web designer create sites from the ground up. I think one uses dreamweaver the other uses templates...or am i wrong? If so i wouldn't call them web designers. Maybe keen Amauters.

Me and my friend have started dabling in this, hes gone into learning html, css and java script etc. Ive always used dreamweaver, i thought he was just wasting his time, but you cant make a website like you can with code.

As steve said, you need ground up.

Dreamweaver is a standard web design tool,.. probably the best in the industry. Its not a cheat,.. just a tool.

I use templates mostly because its cheaper, and us window cleaners are tight! I do also build from scratch, but due to the extra cost its rare that I get asked to.

Thanks to all who recommended me,.. but at the moment I'm booked up solidly for 6 weeks minimum.
