Merlin membranes and filters
«

Hi,
I've changed all my membranes and filter this morning. As my previous membranes had a TDS reading of 60
.
The new membranes have been in for over 2 hours now but with a TDS reading of 132 that hasn't dropped for a good half hour.
Now i know that they need "bedding in" but how long does it take to drop to an acceptable TDS level??

this seems to be a common problem with the merlin, firstly, how long did the originals take
to bed in - mine i seem to remember was about 2 hours.
so if your getting a drop by now you will need to think about checking that th membranes are fitted
correctly.
some other posts mentioned that the rubber end seal was missing. so maybe time to check that the
membranes re fitted correctly.
