Zero window cleaning return on 6,000 leaflets?
When did you drop the leaflets?  It often takes a while to get feedback though I would expect a small return within a few days.
Are the window cleaning leaflets on the same leaflet as the carpet cleaning?  IMO that could make a fair difference.  Someone's eye might be drawn to the carpets bit and they dump it not realising about the windows.
Could you convert some of the carpet cleaning custies into window cleaning custies?
I would think that a minimum of 30 enquiries about windows would come from 6,000 leaflets.
Maybe leave it a week and go door knock the areas you leafletted?

In my experience, the best way to pick up work after a leaflet drop, is to go door knocking :)

i re started window cleaning 6 months ago after a 2 year break i put 5000 leaflets out advertised in the local paper for 5 weeks and in a colour local advertising paper for 3 months i had 3 enquries for windows and 4 enquiries for pressure washing most of what i picked up has been from word of mouth and people who have seen me doing some of the windows i rent from a friend it seems you have to go door knocking to get custom but round here there are so many people doing it people must be getting fed up of it by now

dont rely on leaflet drops only follow them up now with a knock on th door to introduce yourself.  people want to see you in person

I'm not that experienced (only been going 18 months or so) but 6000 leaflets delivered and not one call sounds very unusual. If I go out delivering a couple of hundred I'm virtually guaranteed at least one.Stating the obvious but are you 100% sure the number on the leaflet is correct?

edit:sorry I re-read your post and I see that you are getting calls for carpets so number is obviously correct. In which case, gawd knows.Door knocking must be the next step for you I'd have thought.Don't lose heart with the leafltes though,I've had calls 6 months+ after I've been delivering.

Also any chance at a look at the leaflet there may be something that's off putting in the wording

Yeah the fact that you're offering 2 different services might sway people into going with somebody who justs does windows.Possibly.

Yeah definitely something wrong there.
Leaflets won't get you a lot, but none from 6000? ???
I did 250 a couple of years back and I was gutted to only get 3.

go and knock,  i went down the road of putting out leaflets and thought it would put out about 2000 got 4 of it went knocking and got 15 of just 1 road, that was flyered,  need to go knocking the other streets now,  leafets are good if your knocking and no one is in,  or you get them and give leaflets to show who you are, mine has web site and all the other info on, i use these instead of cards

If you can not put the leaflet up on here can you copy and paste the text as there is something wrong if you have not had one call. I would expect at least 2 or 3 per couple of hundred

Apparently you need to join the FWC!

The website needs finishing but you should be picking up some work by now. Maybe there is something glaringly wrong with your leaflet like the wrong phone number or a bad spelling mistake?

Hi,

You are making the mistake of putting too much information on your leafllets,

If you get a "general  builder " leaflet through your door.... who can do every job in the home, including plumbing and electrical, ...would you use him?

no...

you would hire one guy who is qualified for that particular job,

Your window cleaner cleaning leaflet should contain your job speciallity.. and include a few add ons , such as con roof cleaning and facia cleaning,.... which are relevant to what you actually do!..

Carpet cleaning is a seperate profession  in the eyes of your customer

and you will confuse them ,and encourage them to throw your leaflet in the bin .

 ;)

could be you look expensive ? on my leaflets were quickly made up,in fact at first i hand wrote them with a marker pen on the cheapest coloured paper from tescos store, soon got sick of writing the 1 liner and then printed a few thou the same-very good results from them.  mind you,im fairly cheap price

Andy I would drop 1 or 2 streets with leaflets then 2 days later follow it up with door knocking as you can use the leaflet as a starting point for your conversation.
people are lazy, if there is too much information on the leaflets they won't be bothered to read it. the same goes for waiting for them to call you.
door knock the houses you have already dropped leaflets too and say "Hi I dropped a leaflet the other day and just wondered if you would be interested in a professional window cleaner"
