Renault Kangoo 865D -what size tank?
« on: July 14, 2010, 07:26:48 pm »
As above, what size tank could I fit in a kangoo with 865kg payload. Two operators weighing about 220kg combined then reels/pumps etc. What do people reckon?

500l= 500kg + two fat b***** in the front is going to be 720 + the weight of the etank, reels pumps et al...

it should proably be within limits but would running it at max capacity cause it to break sooner?

No. But I carry 425L in my 1.3 Doblo with fat me on board. Have done for nearly 4 years and its payload is 730kg.

500l is too much for a kagoo, you want a vivaro or transit sized van

max i would carry in a small van would be 350l

do you get much room left once the tanks in for other equipment , are you able to fix your hose reels to the floor ? ive seen the van glens bought and i just think a 500 ltr tank minght just be a bit on the large side . once full of water all the other equipment , 2 men its going to push it close o the limit if not over .
but with you having the experrience of using a 500 ltr in a kangoo it might be ok for them .
