a window cleaner pal of mine used to clean our local currys and get paid from the till but they have stopped it after being told to by head office. this makes me think that a national company will be taking over.

they are both a waste of space, I have worked for both here and there. Usually the shops are filthy with year old snots running down the windows. After a couple of cleans you get the standard speech, "we already have somebody who comes every month and head office say we have to  stay with them".

These shops really make me angry, they are always the dirtiest snot ridden holes in the town, and they always swear that the windows are being done.

Conclusion: somebody is on the make, putting money in their pocket and not doing the work.

rant over
if it is dirty it is fair game

i know a bloke who use to do a few car dealerships,  and when he bought his round  he turned up in a car to do the windows and they said its ok mate we got some one, said ok and walked off,  he still gets paid for all of them and only does 1 now,

Currys is indeed initial. Halfords is also national I do one for a firm in Wales but i dont know if its their contract or if they sub it off another! Currys are cleaned every two weeks now but Halfords is pretty much every 4 or 5 months

Currys is done buy initial but the windows arent included in the contract, The reason I know this is because my neighbour is the manager of one, he gave me head office number to find out if I could get the contract to do it, they told me initial did them so I rung initial to see if I could have the subby work as the windows hadnt been done in 6 months and they told me that when they did quote and signed contracts the windows wherent included, I told neighbour this who then contacted head office who where very shocked when they reread the contract to find they had signed in believing windows where included but the contract stated otherwise  ;D

That might of been the case up til the end of May when it was upto the store managers if they wanted initial or if they had their own guy they could keep them but from June initial have taken them on once a fortnight at I think five pounds a store.
