Anybody use a service similar to this http://www.virtualpa.connectwithus.co.uk/ ?
When the machine is going I sometimes miss the odd call plus this sounds alot more professional.Any thoughts?

Hi Steve,

I don't have this service, but I was talking to a guy on a course a while back that does, and he was really pleased with it.

Basically they answered his calls, and then text him the details for him to call back.

I guess it may be worth it if you are getting (and missing) a lot of calls.

Why not divert your calls to your mobile phone like I do (24hours)? You have to pay for the call but you will take loads of work off your competitors!!

Why not have an O800 number to your mobile?

Even if you miss a call you can phone back asap.

Steve pointed out that when our machines are on we just don't hear the phone ring. Just last week I lost out on a very big commercial job by not answering the phone straight away, I phoned the number back within 10 mins and was told by a miserable sounding lady that they have now placed the job with someone who answers their phone.

Armchair Answer Call in Andover have been mentioned on here before, it would be interesting to know how much these companies charge, it can't be too much can it?

Anyone with an Orange mobile can make use of their virtual assistant or whatever it's called. Basically someone answers your phone mentioning the company name and tells them that someone will ring them back. Don't use it myself but I'm sure it doesn't cost much.

Why not divert your call and wear a bluetooth, then when the phone rings you will always hear it. Also you can answer your phone while driving.

I will offer a word of caution in regard to bluetooth.  I started to use one but found that I was getting a sore head whenever I had used it.

There is some medical opinion that it is not the most healthy thing to use.    One alternative would be to use an earpiece with cable connection. 

I find that the signal to the mobile frequently stops when inside buildings, particularly ones with a relatively small window area.

I also put on leaflets/letters that as an owner operator I sometimes cannot answer the phone and ask that messages be left.    I seem to get more messages left since adding this.
