Thinking of selling up..

Thinking of selling up but not sure where to start?

Cleaned and had my window cleaning for 15 years now.

Whats the process in selling a round?

1. Why?
2. Why not rent it out?
3. If you still want to sell then as a seller try to get as much up front as you can.

(A well paying buyer will likely want an introduction to custies and say 50% up front and the balance after the first clean and a written agreement - as a seller you will want the dosh up front but will have to convince the buyer you are genuine)

What are the rounds attributes - compact; well priced; wfp already?

If it is a well kept and well priced, compact round and you get a serious bidder you could get 6 x the scheduled clean - rather more if you are patient and it is has commercial and is already converted to wfp. Maybe split the round? The parts may be worth more than the whole?

If it is a trad, low priced, dispersed round then you might be looking at 3 or 4 x the scheduled clean.

All the best ...
It's a game of three halves!

Go and See Jamie at Blade access in Bradford - he might be interested in buying.
If not try and track down Paul at Vision Cleaning also in bradford - Bingley area.

I have been thinking about this for far too long now, I want a fresh start, something new.

I don't think I want to go down the renting it out route, if I'm having a fresh start, I want to sell.

I would introduce the buyer to every single customer, even though it may take weeks to do so.

The round is very compact and all in one town. It is cleaned every 4 weeks by Water Fed Pole. It has been cleaned by Water Fed Pole since January 2006.

I have a very good payment system set up, no collecting at all required. Customers have the options of paying on the day if they are in, cheque, standing order, direct debit, Credit/Debit card or bank transfer.

The work is 80% Residential 20% Commercial. Commercials are done every Monday morning. The work takes 2 experienced men 4 weeks to complete.

Orange,

Why do you want a fresh start? What kind of business are you thinking of getting into?

Remember... The grass isn't always greener on the other side!   Window Cleaning is a great business when you think of all the positives.

How much is your business worth a month?

On the other hand, once a window cleaner always a window cleaner. If you sell up and things don't work out you just go out and canvass up a new round and you are back in business.
