i have a stiff vikan sill brush for fascias and conny roofs and a vikan rectangle for dirty first cleans.

I use all three alloys on a daily basis, the fibreglass pole I've converted to a sprayer and the fishing pole is semi retired for the moment awaiting a big job where it will be brought back into active service and up upgraded.

smudger how is the 25ft SLX?i bet it is considerably lighter than the brodex hydra!!the hydra seems very robust though and will probably take my "awkward newbie to wfp" clumsyness!

is the slx 25ft suitable for both up and down windows without too much strain?

if i get an slx at a later date will it last a 12-18months if i regularly clean pole hose etc?

Dazmond, notice most of the experienced people mentions only the one pole!

Possibly have a spare pole/adhoc work the same length or a bit longer/shorter

Poles that are still alive.

SL2 For very high stuff
SLX25 Used every day for ups and downs over 2 years old
SLX18 Wife's pole used every day for up and down
HXTEL30 Used to be my main pole until 2 years ago
Extel 2-4ft purchased for ground work but only been used for cleaning the car along with the vikan brushes
Universal 30ft glass fibre 6 section pole, only reason it's still alive is it's hardly ever been used as it's way too unwieldy

Lots of other poles have died in the line of duty.

I use a slx 25 (worth every penny) for everyday use and I also drag around  an old unger 18ft just in case. Just in case of wot I am not sure ?

I have 2 poles that i carry. An sl2 and 18ft clx.
The aspiration is to have 1 pole but i do jobs of too many various heights to use just 1 now. I did use sl2 only for last 2 years, but decided to buy a shorter telecopic last for majority of domestics.
I think the people using 1 pole show their experience because they use just 1 pole. I don't bother looking at post counts anymore. I did the 1st few weeks of joining, but soon realised that it meant nothing.
