I agree - it may have sounded like I was putting the DUO down in my post above, I wasn't, I actually use one on nearly every job, purely for agitation. But for a full, thorough dry compound job, I'd never rely on just the DUO for the main compound agitation, as the brushes are about 25% as effective as the GEN4's brushes, and there just isn't enough the weight to help with the job.
The Envirodri GEN4 is a
heavy machine!
SEBO DUO = prespray agitation, perfect, great job.
ENV. GEN4 = prespray agitation, top job available, and dry compound agitation, at least as good as HOST Freestyle.
Anyone interested in the GEN4 should have a word with Jonh Williams at CareClean UK. I just got mine delivered last Monday and I love it. They're now blue (used to be green, then black), with some improved engineering and increased weight. I think the list price is just about to go up. List price when I ordered was £945+VAT but after some gentlemanly haggling with John, I paid a bit less than this...

If you just want an agitator to get the best possible wet pre-spray agitation the GEN4 is overkill and humping it in an out of your van (in addition to your HWE) will get on your nerves. But if like me, you're doing at least 25% dry businesss, the GEN4 is a hell of an investment. As I've said before, with the right well-honed techniques, the GEN4, and the right chems, I am now getting results from dry compound cleaning that I genuinely never thought possible. Seriously murky, greasy, stained carpets coming up beautiful. But it's all in the prep. Just like a HWE rinse, the dry compound (sponge) element is really just the mop up. The prep is where you sow the seeds in getting a fab result.
Sorry if I sound a bit evangelical but it's genuine.

Cheers,
