DRAGONS' DEN CLEANING FIRM TO FRANCHISE BUSINESS MODE
« on: June 09, 2010, 05:08:53 pm »
Quote
UK Commercial Cleaning Services, one of the country’s leading suppliers of industrial cleaning, is to expand its operation with a network of franchises across the country. The company, which recently received a £100,000 investment from Duncan Bannatyne as part of Dragons’ Den, is taking the bold step to franchise the business in order to increase its workforce and prepare for large national contracts that are in the pipeline. ...

sorry if this has been posted before but hey there are getting big!

So were the Polish apparently 2 years ago.

Then we were going to have a hose-pipe ban according to posters on here.

Then ladders were going to be banned. (Again)

Im sure there was something else, oh yea I remember, we were going to be able to offset the cost of our sandwiches against our tax bill.

Dont worry, seen it all before, see if still here in 10 years time, these national companies come & go all the time, dont forget "people buy people" and we have contacts & customers for over 50 years,

I thought it would be hard to expand across the country without franchising at some point....

Good luck to them they are working hard and expanding their company. I would relish the chance to compete with that company

the trick we are all missing is that in a few years time when it is a national company a larger fish will come along and buy them out for some mighty big figure

would'nt you put in say five years hard work to be in a position of retirement

fair play to them its only a means to an end

Oh no, public warning needed.
That will be a public warning to all those who are about to part with their redundancy money who are totally unaware of what they will be walking into.
Nothing against UKCCS but their prices were already rock bottom at the time DB got involved, so how hard are franchisees going to have to work to just make a tiny living, after parting with x amount of their turnover each month.
This has got disaster written all over it for too many unsuspecting poor sods.

exactly if they were pricing right they could afford to expand and do the work themselves

theyre franchising because they cant afford to grow with it

Yep get what you are saying!

I wonder once they have the commercial side sewn up will they then move in to domestic side of things as well?

They could well start franchising into domestics if they wanted to!

Would not be suprised!
