The links didn't work for me; I use Google Chrome; if that matters.

But that was nice of you to try and help the guy out.

I use google chrome and it loads in bottom of screen as mentioned above. do you have much trouble with it Tosh? I in general like it a lot, But regularly it wont let me on sites (says cannot be found, or words to that effect) It reglarly does it when i try to access the other forum "that shall not be mentioned". I end up having to go through internet explorer  ???

Happens to me sometimes. Only when it's been idle for a while though. Seems to sort it's self after a minute or 2.

I had something like that through the post once from some guy.  I looked through it and noticed a gap in his employment record.  I also noticed that onee of his previous employers was someone for whom I was doing some general cleaning at the time.  So I asked the guy about him.  It turned out that the gap in employment was caused by being in prison for attacking someone with a hammer.  Also, his driving of the vans was very aggressive.
Now I do realise that someone may have had a moment of madness that would never be repeated but I'm not so sure that I would want to employ someone who had committed such an act of violence.  No problem most of the time but ifd he wasn't up to it I would be too scared to discipline or sack in case he came after me.
That's not to say either that all unsolicited CV senders are like this.  But it did warn me to thoroughly check someone out if I were to ever take someone on.
