Does anyone have a Transit t300 front wheel drive?
Im thinking of chopping the master in for a new shape t300 115ps front wheel drive, are there issues with these front wheel drives ie gearbox?

I have a 03 t280 125ps from new. Perfect with only a £50 crankshaft sensor ever. My mate bought a t280 100ps at the same time and same story. Mine done 85k his 65k. If you can find a one owner/driver like that then it will be fine. Multi driver company vans leave alone. My 125ps is the tdci and it flies and drives like a car. If you buy second hand then join the AA and take out their breakdown parts cover. It covers any repair up to £500 for £69 a year max 5 claims. I recently had the mass airflow meter changed on my focus for £25 excess on a £280 repair.
Even if you encounter some repairs they'll still be cheaper than renault/citroen/peugot.

Im looking at getting a 56 plate onwards, there seems to be plenty of t300's around which take just under 1300kg but have heard of gearbox problems on the front wheel drive versions,
Ive got an older shape,52 plate t330 swb which are rear wheel drive and are supposed to be ok, so may play it safe with another t330, there just harder to find and normally more money
