Getting into the corners
« on: June 04, 2010, 10:44:33 am »

I've been getting some amazing results using Astonish UPVC Grime Blast Cream but I have a question.

When restoring UPVC frames what do you guys use to get right into the corners to ensure a perfect finish to the job?

John if we use a cream cleaner we use a vileda pointed head scrubber.I think they cost about £5.
The problem in the past for us was getting under the small crevice that runs the full length of a frame,we have overcome this now for renovation work, general cleaning we dont really bother going that far.

Thanks Dan

I will try and locate the Vileda scubber you mentioned.  I have great problems clearing the crevice too - if a customers hose is handy I find that works well - otherwise a use a stiff brush to get as much out as possible before I start the clean.  Any other tips for clearing the crevice?

Cheers

Thanks for that info.

One thing I have found is if you leave it to dry before rinsing it sets again.  So I rinse as I go along now and that works well.
