the vikan sill brush i will use for conny roofs/fascias etc and the 12in rectangle for normal windows.

people have been using vikans for years!whats so bad about them?maybe their heavier than supalites but ive never used one so i wouldnt know the difference! ;) :) :)

yes dazmond you will !

you will also find out, that some of the other gear you bought won' t either  ;)

my comments on the vikans were not only about weight, other factors will come into play,
it is only when you get out into the real world with all your w.f.p.gear that you will find out whats best for you  ;)

you might even find the trolley a waste of time and money, or you might get on with a trolley from the off,

i guess we will soon find out  ;D

i was not on about the weight stu, i think there are better brushes out there  ;)

i know a lot use vikans , it's down to individulal preferences

i did think long and hard about the trolley daz but itll be ok as i could always buy a tank or use it as a mini van mount at a later date.

like you say i will only learn through my own "hands on" experience! ;) ;D

im really looking forward to it though! ;) :) :)

After the pump in my pump box dying after 3,5 years use I now have my old freedom trolley in the van  and after re-fitting all the connector with quick release types ...all is well..so most of the time the trolley just sits there every now and then I just close the ball valves...remove the trolley whack on a 25 litre container and off I go....

Sometime I just am in the hose habit when the trolley would be better/faster...so having a trolley as a pump box is not such a bad idea...

Good luck with the new gear Daz...

Cheers
Dave.

Personally I think you have got that the wrong way round, we use only vikan ledge and sills on domestics for one good reason.
I have picked up a few customers from other cleaners who have damaged upstairs sills using normal flat brushes.
As you are cleaning the bottom of the glass or the sill itself using a normal brush the base plate is often touching the sill, especially on windows where access is tight such as small passages,  grit on the sill then creates deep grooves (if the sill is plastic) I learned this the hard way when it happened to me when I first started with wfp about 7 years ago.
Sure the ledge and sill may weigh a little more but so what, if you can’t lift it you’re in the wrong job.  ;)

hi mate i find the whole brush type pretty irrelevant as long as its mono, i have used salmon, brodex, viking and can clean a window equally well with either i also have a cheap car wash brush for applying tfr/detergent to con roofs and facsias

I really think you will make a success with it , you have done your homework and seem well prepared .

Also you have a good customer base , so I think they will be patient with you .

All the best and it will be good following your progress .
