I go into a mini depression when the weather forcast is not good.   :(
I can remember when waking up stiff in the morning was a good thing.

Part of me rejoices when it's peeing down, so I can have a few more hours off, but another part of me (I have a spilt personality) worries that I won't earn anything.
Depends on current situation.

It's an irritation today, but if this was last friday after 4 good days I'd be happy enough.

i used to get frustrated with it but most of the time now i except it or try and work in it!

after the long bank holiday weekend i cant get motivated to get out in it even though ive been up since 630 and have flask/lunch and work clothes on all ready to go!! ::)

i should be straight up with work by the middle of next week(still 2 weeks behind at the mo!).

as the weather looks good for the rest of the week ill pull my finger out from tommorrow morning!! ;) ;)

if the weather was forecast bad all week i would be leaving for my first job of the day now!! ;D ;D

i have had gutter jobs lined up for wet days in the past but i hated doing them!

more dangerous in the wet up ladders/all the crap in gutter is like mud and heavy!and you end up coming home drenched smelling like you ve been swimming in a ditch!! ::) ::) ::)

i used to do all sorts in my younger days!im 38 now and id rather earn as much as i can window cleaning/conny roofs/fascia/soffit jobs than gutter cleaning.

each to there own though! ;) ;) ;D ;D

Hi Danny ... going full time mid June (work made me stay for 6 weeks or no bonus  :( ) bit later than I was hoping for .. 5000 leaflets on order .. starting canvassing again 21st June with a target of 100 customers before end of July .. big target I know but possible with a lot of graft  :)

you need a lot more custys to go full time ian!

good luck with the canvassing!get out there every day for a couple of hours for 6 months and you might have some sort of round thatll pay the bills then youll start getting recommended etc.

its gonna be hard though mate for a while to get enough work unless your planning on buying a round.

best wishes

Its ASDA Price  ;D ... got part time job lined up on the local ASDA petrol forecourt ... boring as hell sitting in little metal box all day but will pay the bills and with a little buying and selling of the motors should be ok .. 700 staff in the ASDA bet some of them will need a windy or motor or both  ;D ...... 100 customers then will grow it from there ideally want 300 ish

oh ok ian i thought you meant packing everything in and trying to build a round with it being your sole income!! ;D ;D

when i started 16 years ago i worked for a windy for a year, bought a small round off him and canvassed like mad for 6 months while working a few days with him on the days i had no work then gradually i had enough to go it alone!!

its by far the best move i made starting up on my own!! ;) ;D ;D ;D

I often work in rain but today I will chill out and tomorrow I will be childminding.  There's a good forecast for Thursday - Sunday and I have a lot of work coming up during those days - including some of my better paid stuff.  I worked much of the bank holiday weekend too.  It's weird but as I have drifted more into commercial work, I seem to work more on the weekends.  Occasionally I can do a 10-11 hour Sunday and earn more than many do in the week.  Wish I had a few more jobs like those.

Clean in rain as i provide a service and maybe this is why my round is on time every month. Also clean internals as well.

just keep working unless its lightning as well !!

with wfp I've cleaned in the rain for the past couple of years and never had any problems OR lost a customer.

just tell them from the beginning that I clean in all weather except below freezing - no problems!!

All WFP should pray for a good downpour at least once every couple of weeks.  It's only three years or so ago when we were threatened with having to stop using our systems.

Regular rain will keep reservoirs topped up and the water companies off our backs.
