Any HSBC customers...Watch out!

There's an email doing the rounds, pretending to be HSBC and threatening that your account will be suspended unless you "log in" form the email.  This will no doubt grab your login info and end up with some sort of fraud on your account!

The email looks like the picture below.

watch out? there is an email? there's a million and one emails going round daily just for banking fraud, not forgetting emails about some African president that needs my help as i have a trustworthy email address

Troble is I thinkmy bank sent me one compaining i did not use their internet banking service.

i just decided it wasa spam but in that case it was genuine

we were forced to terminate access to it.
You are required to confirm that your card was not stolen before we can
restore access to it. You can do this by downloading and completing
the attached form.

Deleted even before it hit my computer.
I have a piece of software called Mailwasher.  Looks at your email whilst it is still on the providers server. Get rid of rubbish and dont know who froms before they have a chance to spread virus etc
You can get it free fro one email but if you have more then 1 you have to pay a once only fee. Well worth it.

These are two a penny I swear I  get them form every bank known to man.

The important thing is not to reply, but block the path it came from, eventually you will get another from the 'same' bank, but you have to block it again.

They just send out millions in the hope it lands with you and corresponds with your bank but as banks are at pains to tell you they will never ask for details in such a fashion,

Also the spelling and English used can be appalling. delete and move on.

Use Google to filter your emails. Sign up for gmail and set up an imap account in your email client (outlook etc).
When I started doing that all spam disappeared instantly including bogus bank letters, body parts enlargements, Viagra etc. Used to spend an hour a day to cleanup my inbox.
