Hi guys,
Looking for a small but spacious and economical van for working in London.
I like the Suzuki Carry vans as they are 1.3 petrol engines (especially for parking benefits and two sliding doors), anyone use them also for wfp cleaning?
My circumstances only allow me to carry 25l barrels. If i had a van I would have about 8-10 25l barrels at one time in van, with trolley system and ladders.

The question: Will 8-10 barrels be to much weight, lowering the fuel consumption significantly, especially in London with start n stops, meaning I might as well go for a 1.7/1.9 diesel engine van for the load?

25 litres x 10 = 250 litres = 250 kg. Well within the capacity of a van like that. less than half so plenty left for trolley and ladders.

mines a kangoo 1.9D VAN.(625KG PAYLOAD)

12 barrels=300kgs

trolley=25kg

me+ladders etc=200kg??

I had a brand new suzuki carry, petrol absolutly useless on fuel, if you went 70 mph on a motorway you could see the petrol guide moving towards the empty mark very quickly. Its true
Got today a brand new 2010 fiat Doblo maxi, diesel, our 5 fiat in 5 years and takes 1000 kg and fantastic 50 plus mpg

suzuki carry can be very amusing in cross winds. i had one years ago. rubbish on fuel. i saved a fortune on fuel when i changed to an astra 1.7td

....eco-clean you say you got a 1.7 astra van, what registration year? heard astra vans are v good on fuel.
