I would like PMs - with the option to block particular users.
As has been suggested, it would savre having to publish phone numbers in an open forum.  Unfortunately some childish idiots around here find it necessary to be nuisance callers.  It probably isn't even people who post regularly for all I know.

I voted 'no'!  I don't want to be bothered by people unless I want them to bother me about something.  In which case I'll post my e-mail address.  ;D ;D

Anyway, the reason why we haven't got them is because someone set up another cleaning forum, and then people from there were coming here and PMing everyone to join their site.

It wasn't really cricket.  It may also lead to a more 'cliquier' site too.

PM's can be moderated. emails can't. make PM the preferred metthod of contact between members and then it can be kept under control.

My own take on this is that it is about money.  If PMs are being used to do deals, it potentially takes revenue away from the site owner.  The only problem I have about that is that no-one will be honest and up front about the reasons.  Of course, I could be wrong.

Well there used to be them on here, but they were taken away.

Can't see any reason why they would be re-instated. There must have been a good reason.
