Pre-Spray, Scrub...
« on: August 23, 2005, 02:43:00 pm »
Hi chaps, just considering updating an old faithful, yes the carpet brush. I was thinking that I would get better results if I used a Sebo Duo after I pre-spayed & before extraction.

I know they promote these as dry compound scrubbers, but is it ok to use on a damp carpet after applying traffic lane cleaner?

Any advice would be good.

Thanks

I've got a Duo and it's ok.  A lot easier than a brush.  It's only downside is it is quite light and has a tendency to skip across the carpet.  I take it slowly with a few passes.

Depends what your budget is.  If it's £150-£200 then get one.

Alternatively, get a second hand Host machine, or, buy an 'Envirodri' (my choice when finances permit)

With better agitaion, it makes the job easier, quicker with better results. If you can afford a envodri or host it is worth investing in paying the extra,  if not the duo does a reasonable job.

Thanks for the info again.

Just quickly, are these (Host/Envirodri) ok on domestic? most of my work is domestic and you know what its like - big machines are a pain in the house!

Are the machines mainly for commercial?
Also what is the approx cost?
I tried searching for Host on e bay, but nothing. Is there a website for these?

Sorry to be a pain......

I use a Sebo Duo and find it excellent for domestic and commercial work when used with M/S but the envirodri would be my choice when the funds are available. (I think they are £580 + vat)
