Urinals - Steam Question
« on: August 23, 2005, 12:41:12 pm »
Hi just wondered if anyone has any experience with wonder products for urinals and anything to stop build up/blockages from uric acid.

I have checked the "Urine Off"  (hopefully I will be talking to them re cost).

I also know that the dreaded "bleach" will go part way, however we have to come away from this product.

In addition has anyone had any success with using steam in respect of deep cleaning washrooms, I would be interested to know if there is any benefit in this area.

Many thanks for any help you may be able to supply.

DP.

I bought a steam cleaner last year ( cost over  £1500 ) and found it to be more trouble than its worth, they are very slow and things don't come off the way you'd expect!

I'm in a hard water area so have to de-scale regularly and don't have a problem with build up. Have a go with a descaler first and see if that helps. Otherwise try something like One-Shot every now and then.
