just make sure you clean the frames properly especially underneath top half of window before cleaning glass. beware of the odd leak. good luck

when i changed over to wfp i had the advantage of practising on my mums georgan windows. they are stained wooden windows. i washed and rinsed like mad and the first clean was crap. the second clean was better but still had spots. the third clean was so perfect it was beyond belife and has been perfect ever since as she gets it done monthly with the rest of the street.
I think the tip on these windows is just make sure every part of the frame gets cleaned and rinse well.

ive already cleaned nearly all the filthy top frames etc on  upvc windows on my round to make it easier wfp ;)

so do you think i should take twice as long on first cleans on georgian making sure every nook and cranny is cleaned in every frame?scrub/rinse/scrub/rinse/scrub/rinse/scrub/rinse/scrub/rinse/scrub/rinse/rinse ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

daz the dreaded first clean only applies to filthy jobs, if you have done the prep with top frames etc just clean as normal ;)

i used to and me bad. ;D do first cleans trad and get all the frames done( if no one was in) then do the next clean wfp

but nowadays i just do first cleans wfp and spend a bit extra time on them

stu ive been using gg3 for about 4 months now and most of my custys frames will be clean.so do i just clean wfp pretty quickly?not standing around scrubbing and rinsing all day and using gallons of water?? ;D ;D ;D ;D

ive read various backposts of  the dreaded "every house on my round is a first clean" scenario!!im hoping to be nearly as quick as trad first time and faster overall second time then flying within 3 months!! :D :D :D :D

yes mate just clean as normal maybe an extra scrub or two across the seals. it will take longer getting used to hoses etc but actual cleaning just crack on you have done all the hard work and there is no need for the dreaded cleaning every house twice, the only time i do that now is when its a new job that hasnt been done in years and is filthy

If they are sash windows do the top half of as many as possible and then the bottom halves.

thanks guys!

lammy im not messing about pal im gonna change 80%-90% wfp from the start!im not spending all this money on a system to use it just on the odd one or two!! :) ;D ;D

all upstairs windows will be cleaned with wfp whenever possible(or trad pole).ladders will only be used for access or badly oxidized frames etc

some big connys and bigger accounts will be 100% wfp.then trad some downstairs windows to save water/appease some custys.

i think ill be quicker on the bigger houses and commercial from day one!! ;) ;D ;D

i will have a old fairy bottle with gg3/pure water on belt for tradding downstairs(no carrying bucket!!)
