a microsplitter, or Nemesis/M-Power, or Fusion8
you only have to lightly spray or there will be too much moisture for the granules to soak up.

Same as Joe The Younger.

I prefer to say "lightly mist" rather than "spray" when dry compound cleaning. I use a small hand spray bottle for this.

Safe and happy misting :)

Apparently the method is to spray up into the air with a trigger sprayer, rather than down at the carpet.  This is supposed to help spread out the mist of solution.

Almost Jim

You hold the hand trigger spray bottle at hip height and mist out horizontal to the floor whilst walking backwards.

Safe and happy misting :)

Derek you've forgotten the one eye closed whilst singing the Lords prayer in Outer Mongolian.

The humour is good on this one, thanks guys ;D

But seriously, for those, especially newbies, who are puzzled by the walking backwards in my above post, here's why.

When misting a product like this, the droplets remain suspended in the air for quite a few seconds longer than if you were spraying. So, if you walk forwards, the droplets will be absorbed onto your clothes with the consequent discomfort and H&S implications as it comes into contact with your skin. Also, if it's not hitting the carpet, it's not doing it's job. Wasted time and wasted product.

Simples

Safe and happy cleaning :)
