Haven't been on ciu much recently and have only just seen this thread.

I now have 15k flyers delivered every month and flyers have always been my main source of income for new customers. I've always sourced the cheapest and best deals by searching this website.

However I do take your point about deals changing and new printing firms starting up

Where a lot of people have problems is getting !5k delivered  who do you use?
 I know the methods but would like to know what is working for you?

I just got 5k delivered and got bumped somehow. Only got 2 responses out ok 5000.
The jobs i did get were in a bundle of a few other leaflets. Dint know if some local bins are the resting place fot most of them. Back to square one with the old leaflets.

The thing is with flyers some people will hold onto them but most of them will end up in the bin.  We should all realise that but if you earn sufficiently more from them than it costs you to have them printed and delivered then it should be worth it.  I remember the first time I organised a leaflet campaign I had 10,000 delivered to a targeted area with a local newspaper.  Two weeks later I'd had TWO calls!  Now I know I'll get shot down for saying I had them delivered with a newspaper and that I should have had them delivered individually but at the time that was the most attractive option, i.e. cheapest, for me.  Twelve months down the line I still get calls from people who've held onto those leaflets though.

I've been out a couple of times this week myself and I've delivered about 400.  No phone calls yet though....

 Leaflets are slow burn and the 10K would require repeating on a monthly basis for say 4 months.

So you could be broke by time you new if it worked or not

yes  leaflets do work but they have to be good quality and the areas you deliver them too will have to be well though of too. We have delivered leaflets before and had a very little responce, however everymonth i get a leaflet from few local companies who deliver them without a miss, i quess this works for them.

No it's not cheap is it!  You've got to set yourself an initial budget for this type of advertising.  Trouble is though if you've just spent £350.00 or thereabouts with very little to show for it it takes some bottle to spend it again straightaway!  If you're in for the long haul though you've got to keep at it.

I have been stung a few times in the past by aholes just binning most of the flyers or putting 3/4 through the same letter box.

So for the past few years up until feb this year I put out 200 per day myself before / after work.

However I was in a well known pizza takeaway a few months back and seen some of their flyers sitting on the counter. I asked who did the distribution and the chap behind the counter, an Indian chap, said that he and a few others deliver them at a rate of 15k per month.

Gave him a shot for 2 months and he charges me £25.00 per k to go out with the pizza leaflet. The response has been averaging 3 jobs per k which is pretty good imo.

I also have piece of mind because he has to deliver the takeaway flyers anyway.
