ANDY ALCOCK
« on: May 16, 2010, 02:24:28 pm »
I expect many of you had a letter from LTT a couple of days ago advising of changes in their trading style due to Andy's ill health.

Just hoping Andy's able to keep working for a while yet as he's still a young man and a hell of a nice guy.

It is with the very deepset of sadness that I have to report the death of Andy Alcock.
He died very peacefully in his sleep yesterday evening after a mercifully short but painful fight against brain cancer, surrounded by his close knit family.
He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and the industry that was so close to his heart.

Funeral arrangements later.

My sympathy goes out to Andy and his family. I am very upset at the news. Andy was and will always be a great inspiration to myself and many others. I had the pleasure in meeting andy during my training at LTT.

A huge loss to the industry Andy was respected throughout the world for his expertise which he passed on to others selflessly.

There are few people we meet in our lives who leave a positive lasting impression Andy was such a man and I'm very pleased to have known him.

Hi Guys

Andy was a tremendous teacher and a thoroughly nice bloke. He was passionate about leather cleaning but never tried to sell you anything which made him a pleasure to deal with.

With his partner Judy who is also very helpful, they built a quality business and were always on hand for advice.

My deepest sympathies to Judy and family.

The industry has lost one of it's real experts.

Doug
