Am I reading this right
6 floors
each floor  2 x 300ftx4ft     or 2 x 100x1.3 yds =  2 x 133 sq yd per floor = 266 sq yd per floor

= 6 x 266 = total 1596 sq yd

If that is correct and you go at £1.50 sq yd then that is about £2400

You may want to consider low moisture cleaning as in rotary.
Get a machine of ebay - £200
a load of pads say 20 at £15 each = £300
some fluid, bits and bobs say £40
£540 and you got the right gear for the net commercial job.
but you may have to go in as low as £1 sq yd to get the job if your competing. Thats still £1596, less the £540 for rotary etc = £1000 profit (less wages of your bucket boys) and you still got the gear for next job.

While we are on the subject of prices,
i have just had an enquiry about 2000 ft² or 185.806 m² of office carpets.
They are low profile, fairly good condition as they are not that old.
Lm would be ok and there is no furniture(totally empty).
What kind of price should i be looking at and can it be done in a day.Cheers.

Providing no major set-backs you'll do that in a couple of hours, 3 at the most!

I was going to put a price in about £270(just under £1.50 per sqm),
but that seems high for 3 hrs work.

Depends how keen a price shopper the customer is.  I'd test the water a little bit, see if they're shopping round, tell them to get a couple of quotes and come back to you.

You can still make a tidy little profit at £1.00/m², don't forget there isn't all the hassle and exertion of running extraction equipment to deal with.

Never presume you're the only one quoting, some are good at hiding it ;)

Same as dave said there must be toilets on each floor.

A little trick i used to do if there was no janatorial room on each floor was disconect the small u bend at the botom of  the sink and put your buckets under to fill up :)

Just dont forget to fit it back when you have finished ;D
