« on: May 03, 2010, 12:27:40 pm »
Does anyone have some of the pirahna marketing stuff they would like to share with me, just curious as to what it's all about and whether it's really helpful or not ?

Or links to resource websites that share this sort of thing, :)

thanks in advance

would be happy to give a review of some of it on here as well

Lent all my Piranha stuff to a fellow CC, who I trusted, as a very special favour, for him to study for a few weeks. I would not normally allow anyone to have it, as it cost me personally, a lot of money.
He is no longer a CC, and despite my E mails and attempts to phone him during the last two years, to get it back, I still haven't had it returned. I do wonder whether he has sold it, if he has, someone is the owner of stolen property.

He knows who he is, it's a complete betrayal of trust. I thought he was better than that, however obviously not.

Dont worry about saving his blushes, why should you do him any favours?

I've had the JP stuff and it's mainly full of free room adverts and YP adverts also the recorded info message (I don't use that anymore).

What is it you are looking for? there's no silver bullet to loads of high end customers with big tickets and better prices, the idea of offering free room cleaning was to get in with high enders so they can recommend you.

I'm spending more time on marketing now and really just looking for some inspiration, and ideas of putting a marketing mix together.

I know some will be take it or leave it etc but some of it must be useful.

watched the video about using stickers to give to your clients to put on their vacuum cleaners,  does any body do this ?

i know a guy locally whos not a cc but repairs electical appliances and he has been doing this for years, it is a good reminder and you know where to find the number when you really need it .

Its some fresh ideas like this that i want to introduce or at least try out, as i think different ideas work for different areas.

Not sure about offering the free room clean though, seems a bit risky and time consuming to me, i guess you would have to target your clients very carefully for that to work.

I have tried the relationship type marketing getting in with dry cleaners etc and it really didnt work for me, some work came in and then just fizzled out.

Obviously am concentrating on the reminder postcards, newsletter things as well and leaflets now and again,

Any other ideas would be helpful and interesting to know what most cc spend their marketing time on.

Regards
steve

The Piranha Marketing package is very very American and quite dated, although it does give you the basic ideas. That's why Robert Saunders, uses his translated version in his coaching program. Don't get the idea that having a copy of the PM package, is a cheap alternative to the coaching program, because the Alltec program is far more involved than the PM stuff.

Steve I think the term 'marketing' is quite a generic word for 3 activities

1) finding customers
2) keeping customers
3) the bit in-between where you have found them, but they haven't yet become a customer.

Number 1 is; leaflets, Y/Ps, websites, newspaper adverts etc these things make the phone ring with new customers

number 2 is; reminder cards, newsletters, emails etc which makes the phone ring with existing customers

Number 3 is; the gray area that no one thinks about. What can we do  in the time between the initial phone-call from a new customer and their free quote appointment........ to increase the chance they will use our services and help promote our services to their friend & family.

If I was trying to put more effort into my marketing I would have 3-4 continous campaigns  in place to target each of these 3 areas.

Steve

I thought you were around years ago as a lot of the stuff was put up on the Web  by a Carpet Cleaner

If you hop in your four wheel drive early Saturday Morning and drive to Royston you will get a lot of stuff.

I find a lot of the stuff an act of faith.

ie The Three Step Letter

Mail Shots

Trade Shows

Even the famous Pink Flyer

Ian, I was, can't remember it all tho and some didn't take any notice off.

Not sure what's in Royston or where it is for that matter .

Now you mention it I do remember the pink flyer and thought at thine it a bit long winded   .

Is there no new stuff to be had from pirahna ? Some have said there is pages of the stuff.

Anyhow was just looking for ideas really and things I haven't tried before, as the years go by your focus changes a bit and as I employ others now am more aware about constantly keeping the work rolling in,

Still wud like to get my hands on some :)
it's not about not knowing what marketing is , it's about being inspired and maybe taking an idea and adapting to my customers,
