At the minute ive got a 44ft facelift which ive converted the gooseneck to take the ionics brush, but a mate of mine who has also done the same but wants another one has offered me £500 for mine, im quite tempted so then I can get the Smax but the wear issue of the smax is putting me off a bit and the facelift does seem to be bullet proof but heavier then the smax, I did have a sl brush on the facelift but now a lot quicker on jobs with the ionics but thinking the weight difference of the smax may make it even stevens....

Also will the smax fit inside my renault trafic

If you look at gardiners website the new pole range are lighter & with a different outer coating which is harder wearing than the previous range of poles.

Personally, I think Gardiners have taken the "issue" on-board & sorted it for the latest generation of poles.

I got the 1st batch of slx (25) its had a clamp upgrade and its still going, not much life yet but nearly 2 years old, also got the 18ft that I got about 6 months ago this very rarely comes out the van as its harder to open and close compared to the 25, just dont want to sell a pole I know will last probs 3-4 years and get one that will not last too long,

I too have the original MKI slx in daily use. I sold my 44ft facelift earlier in the year & got an SL2, as I needed a higher reach, the difference is unbelievable!! However, I wouldn't use it on normal domestic, it will be interesting to see what the new smax is like.

Havent got the work to justify sl2 and I think all that sections on and off would do my head in, Ive got quit a few old style 3/4 blocks where the smax could come in handy....
