Do fan jets use more water?I have the ones with the blue ends and need to turn my flow controller up quit a bit more to get them to work so per min do they use more water?

i ask per min as everyone cleans different.
I found that some other fan jet (not the blue) did not spray straight so this put me off first time i tried them, and i bought brushes from companies that tested them befor they sent and still wonky.

iv been useing pencil jet for a long time now but i have a lot of the windows that a fan jet would speed up the rinse.

I am not familiar with the jets you are using, so don't know how effective they are. 

If you need to turn the flow controller up to get the fans working, then there is a good chance you will be pumping more water through your brush per minute.  If you are now pumping say double the amount of water, then you should be cleaning the window in half the time.  Well you will be, unless you are spending double the time on the glass as you should be. 

Don't think when you turn your pump up that you are wasting water, think of it as you are saving time.  And the only way this will work for you is having the confidence to walk away from the window when it is clean, you can't get it any cleaner than clean, even if you use 100% more water than you need.

                    I think you have hit the nail on the head i do lack the confidence to walk away sometimes,and am paranoid about the rinse off.
It dont help when i watch the video clips on here and other sites and all you get is some bigheads go on about what was wrong with it but do not put themselves on a vid doing what they think is wright.

I have my flow controller set between 11 and 12 oclock on the dial for pencil jets and at 13:30 for fans?


Smudger  what i mean when i say wonky is when you go to rinse and spray the glass one sprays up and one sprays down even when you turn one or the other.

so how quick should a rinse be with fans?

have tried fans several times, just cant get on with them , might try some in an old supalite dual trim for fascia conservatory roof cleans though,
to those who have them in a supalite dual trim, do you remove any brissels along the lenghth of jet spray?
