I'd still recommend the back pack and fishing trolley over the expensive (and heavy) 50L trolley.

mate you really need to stop thinking about all this - yes its important! but if you spent all this time/effort canvassing or working you would soon be able to buy this stuff alot quicker.

going wfp can be a little pain to start with - first cleans, funny customers ..........

its not a majic wond! still needs alot of time/effort - spend more time on working and gaining more work than thinking of which pole to get and so on.........

youve clearly done all your research but its time to earn money and then earn more money!

also ill be getting

waterproof floor paint/rubber matts             £40-00

hose for di tanks                                           £40-00

bungees(2)
(for pole rack)                                                £12-00

wcw backpack(with tap)                               £128-31

so roughly about £1500 to set me up.

i will also get a 30 ft SLX pole when they come back in stock so all in all ill be spending about 2grand!

hopefully this will set me up nicely for now and in a few years i may get a bigger van and go for a van mount.(thinking scudo/expert type van with 500lt tank)

for my renault kangoo(payload 625kg) i think 300/350lts is as much as i can carry!

anyone know where i can get a big rachet strap to strap the containers in the back of van??

regards

Waste of money mate,i spent £1000 on a trolley with a pole i have only used once and dont like using the trolley much, they are big akward to get up steps and being 50 instead of 25 litre will be a nightmare!
You should really make sure your making the right decision as you could regret it.I have!
In my defence the only reason i went down the trolley route was because at the time i was using a crew van for my business but now have a doblo!
You say you live in a affulent area and have all these custys and its all in the same area, you dont need a trolley, just get a backpack and a diy van system and better poles!
Them xtel are terrible,i have one i  used it once and then bought new poles!

i have a 75 litre trolley and never have i taken it out and wheeled it about!!! Its basically a van mount that i fill up from 25l barrels. I went for a trolley becasuse i didn't have a van at the time and didn't have the money for a van mount.

though i have a friend that only uses his 25l trolley. He had the same 75l one as me but sold it and bought a 2nd 25l

Daz

if something is worth doing its worth doing properly, stop being affraid of taking the plunge and just get a proper system. IMO everything there is a waste of money, you could d.i.y a van mount for that price
The best way to predict the future is to create it.

in my opinion trolleys seem extremely dear  for all that they are.

also, if it is your first dive into the world of wfp then going diy could be a very daunting way to go. You want the stuff to work and work well so buying is probably the best option for you.

i don't remember seeing it listed. But i would but 100m of microbore and a good quality reel and it means you have the option of leaving the trolley in the van

I've told him this, but he won't listen!! Well if you want to waste your money then go for it, I'll see you down the dump with your trolley in a few months time!!!

I've been lugging barrels for about five years now!  No probs.  I should go van mounted, and maybe will later this year, but I'm more than happy with my working practises.

And if you use a sack truck, there's not that much to lug about to be honest.

I rarely post on here much anymore, but i disagree with most of what's been put on this post. Someone once said to me to "buy the best that you can afford". i didn't and ended up buyin lots of cheap poles, trolleys etc etc. I think Daz is going the right thing(not so sure about the resin, unless he hasn't got a static) I binned my freedom trolley a couple of years ago....Wish i hadn't now. I'm van mount and back pack, but i do miss the trolley. It's a great toy to begin with. If i ever get another one, i will buy a ramp for the van though. It's an individual thing. you know your round better than anyone else. Only YOU know what's best. I know Daz has thought long and hard about his decisions and i'm sure he's doing the right thing. Good luck fella. You'll be fine ;-)

One more thing....why noy buy a 250l container........whack that in your van and get some delivery hose attached to the bottom of it and a tap. No pump required, just let gravity fill you barrel on the trolley up. Sure you'll need 3 or 4 containers in the van at any given time(for when you cant be near the van) but it only takes 30 seconds to fill a container using the above method and it'll save lugging full ones around.x

My trolley is in the for sale section save your self over £400 then you can spend it on marketing which is the hardest part.  :)

Please don't listen to this Daz... he's winding you up!!!!! A diy van mount will actually be cheaper than the trolley, it will save you a lot of aggro lugging about water in barrels etc, you will be able to get a lot more work done and earn more money... it really is a no brainer mate!!! As I said when I first went wfp I got a trolley and actually went back to trad after a couple of months because it is quicker and easier than messing about with a trolley!!!   :)
