Had a call over the weekend to go and do a quote.

Went round, knocked at the door and the chap said " We have not called anyone out "  Quoted the name that was given to me, but seemed to be false.  Called the number he gave me, but was a dead number (Withheld number when he called me) 

However, he did say that he needed a window cleaner anyway, and picked up him as a new customer yipee!!!  So the wind up is on the person who made the call !  Not sure if this was a windup against me, or the customer but hay ho.

When I first started window cleaning, I wasn't very good at record keeping and making a note of new customers etc.

I quite often used to do the wrong house, quite a few times the owners came out and said "what are you doing?". 

So I appologised and said sorry I am new at this, must have written this down wrong.  I'd say 9/10 times they said "oh well nevermind, we need a window cleaner anyway, so carry on"!

Got quite a few new customers that way!

I dont mind at all if I get the same result !  and the door had one of those stickers in them saying no junk mail and no salesmen
