I googled Renault Traffic Clutch Problems there are loads of them 57,58,plates i thought these vans were suposed to better after the 56plate and onwards soon as i get the chance its getting punted.

Perhaps you should contact the bbc watchdog programme. Theese vans are certainly the most complained about on this forum and to add insult to injury they won't even honour their warranty. Let the public beware :o

Just phoned the garage for an update they still havent managed to get the gearbox out having problems they said thats after phoning me at 10.30am for permission to remove the gearbox but the guy said they will have it before they close tonight what a carry on.

seems to be a palm off somewhere along the line m8 surely warranty covers mechanical and electrical for the 1st 3 year, if its been serviced by them within the time /milage then im sure youve got a damn good case normally if its not been correctly serviced then a warranty company will void any claim under the rules, try phoning customer services and open a dispute with them get a case number and the reps name and start the ball rolling with that info all logged in there system

I got told last night that the clutch is burnt out and the warranty wont cover it also because the clutch burnt out it damaged something else the other thing dosent need done asap but they advised me it would be better doing it at the same time total bill £1050 told the garage iam making a complaint to Nissan but i think i will have to pay it.

i had same problem it cost me £550 all in, van is still not the same i would say get fixed and then get rid i have 2 years to pay on mine so i cant we have a new shap transit best van for the jobb my clutch went got that fixed and thern the gear box went that was £1100 and then top that i lost all my gears all the cables snaped  ??? think iv spent about 2 g :o :o :o hope iv helped
