I honestly dont fancy a pile or even piles, there not too healthy from what i heartrue so I hear

Im not heavy handed at all, maybe i got a duff one. Ive cut up a milk bottle and fitted this between the pole and clamps. Seems to be working Sounds like a result!

This happened to me just over tightening a little
unscrew the cones and hacksaw through them to get them off and get two quick release seat post clamps for a bike and fit them over the clamp claws first clamp is 28mm and second one is 34.9mm i think you local bike shop or halfords wiil tell you, they only do 3 or 4 sizes anyway
works really well

use it clampless...when you put it up hold your hand at the bottom holding tube as well..works a treat...if you buy a new one, leave clamps open from the start and keep them for awkward windows
