mum in law in the hitler youth, god , spose she was a dab hand with a Luger then?

heres a brief descript of the chinese tripod ,this has derailled the thread hasnt it eh

two poles about 6metres long were tied together at the top and were splayed out probably3metres across the base and they just stood on the pavement ,then the third pole ,a much longer pole, which had a type of backflip on the end ,slid thru a  pivoting ring(i couldnt see it clearly tho) which was attatched to the top of the first 2 poles  .this allowed the guy to control the third pole pole easily , then he just lifted the whole lot across to the next window

The biggest problem is you don't do enough trad cleaning. Imagine how good you would be if you put only half the time, effort, practice, research & trials into trad as you have done with wfp!!

The truth is, trad takes just as much as wfp to perfect. There's technique, equipment, solution & solution ratios- which may change depending on weather conditions etc. As with wfp, you'll only get better by experience, knowing which tools to use & when etc.

But, as with wfp, everyone has a different oppinion!

I think you would be very supprised if you went out with a top, experienced trad cleaner for a day! You'd soon realise how much crap is talked on here! ;D

If you're profficient at both then you really have no limits, swap methods to your advantage.

So, if you want my advice, practice, practice, practice, there are loads of ways you can improve & perfect your trad techniques giving you top results in far less time. ;)

very true.

I'd agree with that, which is why i'm asking  :)

I've been experimenting with wfp close to three years now and haven't perfected that either and doubt I ever will even if I keep going for twenty years.

This happend to me last week, was doing a first clean on some very dirty leaded windows and notice some blue'ist smears in places, i think i may of being useing a tad to much fariy in the water but a good bit microfiber action soon cleared them off, have seen other w/c work with the same blue smears in the top left hand side of the glass where the squeege has been this is somthink i look out for as i always more my head about to show any marks before moving on.

They aren't mega dirty smears they are more shiny smears if you see what I mean. Where the whole blade has left a shiny smear - enough to know which direction the blade went.
Tried Unger Easy Glide and not impressed, Squeegie off - better. I wonder if it's something everyone gets on a very bright day?
Unfortunately the only house I view from the inside is my own so I can't study someone elses work.  :)
If they are shiny smears are you sure they aren't snail trails, that you could be catching and leaving on the glass, they are a so and so to spot and easily missed when trad cleaning. With WFP the water runs off them at an angle so easily detected :)

If its all the windows and on different customers as well, then you can eliminate it being the glass that's the problem, as I have had that in the past and have had to straight stroke to glass to avoid marks.

just as a measure I use the big Unger 5 litter tubs, and put in about 1.5 cap fulls for every 2 gallons of warm water, If you are not putting in enough you will hear the blade squeaking over the glass and the water start evaporating quickly, so you need more. If you put too much, you can leave a bit of a film on it which maybe what your taking about.

If its your blade, change it for a new one, and if it still persist then its the soap measurements. Another note is that if it is the blade it will always mark in the same spot as drag the blade across the glass.

Hope that helps
