Put a Kuoni Far and Away brochure in your back pocket to show to customers. Ask them where they think you should take your 2 week holiday: Maldives, St.Kitts, Bermuda etc etc , you might also ask them if they think it's worth up-grading to 1st class on the plane. ;D

Good point! I never tell my custies if I go abroad ... it's always a weekend camping. (It often is actually!)

But you could say due to a death in the family you will be away for a week so regular work will be disrupted, but you will get back to normal asap.

Brilliant  ;D
This makes your custies think that you lose a family member every July and come back from the funeral with a lovely tan  ;D

Its possible that you have a very large extended mauri family in the south pacific. Life expectancy isn't very long :D

I just tell them I took the Mrs home to see the family, It's not my fault they are Indonesian and we go to Bali.
It's going to be 2 weeks camping on the Lleyn peninsular next month, and I will enjoy getting some fishing in.

I don't usually say too much but all the old worriers will be phoning up wanting to know where I am if I don't say anything.
So I just say I will probably be a couple of weeks late next time and leave it at that. Seems to work.

No point in saying I am going to do an annual inspection on some of my houses in America and discuss what work needs doing with the letting agent. Thats too much detail.
