ok, well my water comes out the tap at about 34 ppm, so the di is only just polishing off the last bit down to zero. however i do notice that i use more resin than some are suggesting. i change my resin about once every three months and i use about 300 litres per day, about 12 days per month. i figure that just more than10000 litres my resin is lasting. is that right? i find that when it starts to rise to about 5-10ppm, if i give it a big shake it settles and i can use it again, i shake it a few times for fills and it lasts a couple of fills longer. thats how i get 10k litres out it.
incidentally, we used to use two backpacks which took 16 25 litre barrels which works out about 400 litres on our biggest day, so a 650 litre tank is more than adequate, even with the increased flowrate. i also just fill the tank in the van, why would i use a static system in the garage? is that when you need an ro system first?
i wish i could get two guys off the 1 pump, i have been told it can and cant be done, and im finding with my system it cant.
lee02, could you post a picture of how your system is set up? i find when i use one 100psi pump for 2 100m minibore reels it will pump to one pole but nothing to the other. how do you split the water between the two? i was trying a y splitter hoselock and it goes well out one side and a trickle out the other side of the splitter. so i think i will get another pump unless i can figure it out.
