At £65 the extel is an expensive pole, my B&Q pole costs just £15 and is absolutely brilliant!!! I earnt more than enough today using my £15 to buy an slx, but guess what? I won't be wasting my money, as the B&Q pole suits me just fine!!!
Don't be mugs!! Get down to B&Q!!!!!!! ;D

I'd much sooner get on with earning money. At £15 it is a full £50 cheaper than the rolls royce biult for the job £65 xtel pole. But what about the bodge time taken to cobble these make do and mend pole solutions together?

You're embarrasing groundhog.People who post £1500 pw businesses but brag about £15 poles and £200 systems want to take a step back and think about what they are saying.

and anyway its just a way of getting water onto glass
if it does the job so what ???
i would think that low overheads make sense if you are happy with the gear and making good money

My point exactly!!! ;)

I'm not looking for an arguement here, I'm just so impressed with this pole that I want to tell you all about it!! It really is great, in fact it is the best pole I have ever used!!! I started off in wfp using a powerpole, then moved onto an extel, followed by a converted unger pole, then a series of predators, but this 5metre Harris pole from B&Q is miles better than any of them!!!!! It may only be £15 but it has a feel of quality about it, and the sections move really smoothly when extending it, it has just the right stiffness, it is very light, and feels very strong and robust, and the clamps work great!. No silly holograms here, just a good honest, no nonesense, value for money pole!!  ;D

Hey Thorpy, I have drilled it and inserted the hose through the pole, I have simply copied the way that Dai described in his post on my thread 'Dai, advice on B&Q pole please' And even if I do say so myself it looks really good! Infact if I had never seen one before and somebody told me that it had cost £200 I would have believed it!!
It took me about 20mins to do it, and I would recommend to anyone to give it a go before they waste their money on an expensive pole!!!  ;)

Easiest way for those that dont know how to remove rivets is to get cut 6" off a brush handle with a hacksaw, Addis is good, Unger is good, Bentley is a bit tight. Push it into the end of the Harris which you have cut off the adapter. Job done.

But the broom handle ends also fit into the Universal elbow. More later.
