buy your self a cheap measuring wheel... measure the width.....lets say that is 4 metres....then the length..... say ten metres....4x10

that gives you 40 square metres... any silly edges or corners or extra bits... simply add on in your head or .. couple of extra metres etc.

dont forget to add your sanding costs, , i find its cheap at wickes.. £2.43 per bag of dried kiln sand... normally add £35 for sanding..... 2 or 3 bags... and rest labour.

I bought a Leica Distomat for 120 pounds and just point and shoot, it calculates square metres and looks the business.
