Hi All,

Not really a useful comment ::)
But I drive a....................

Skoda Felicia with a trailer 8) 8) 8)

Now I would like a van but the tax man would charge me £500 per year tax just for using it.  However, using MY car, I can claim 40p per mile tax free travel allowance.

David

I dont understand that dave, why 500 quid? & you can claim 40ppm with a van too.

stick with the transporter, smaller vans tend to not give better economy.  we had a partner 1.9d a few years ago, only got about 30mpg, expert hdi does closer to 40mpg,we also have an 07 t30 transporter, it does 38mpg I think.

stick with the transporter.

hi that t30 is that a 2.5tdi ?

yes, twin sliding door too.

superb van, anyone looking a ew van and doesn't mind being in debt for the next x years def go have a drive in one.  We basically offset ours against tax so it hasn't worked out too bad.

hi tartan the old transporter was part ex'd against it, the remainder is hp which as we all know is tax deductable making it cheaper to buy that way than cash.  we got a great deal on it with a further 1800quid off.
