Van Set Up
« on: March 28, 2007, 02:29:15 pm »
Would this be the right way for the van set up. Think it's correct.

Any comments or suggestion?

Thanks

Thanks Simon

My water has been mesured at around 120 tds so hopefully can get away with just di for the moment. RO set up in garage later.

Any suggestions on size of Di vessel e.g ltr volume & size of unit best for van.
Also what is mixed resin and how long would resin last base on amount of ltrs used with the above Tds reading.

Thanks for the help

best to use 2 x 11Ltr DI vessels in sequence, this way ( with 120tds from tap ) resin expense won't be an issue. this is the most economical way of using a DI only set-up. use dowex resin & shake the vessels when tds starts to rise & you're resin will last ages.

Thanks for the info chaps

@Tony
Read your other post on this topic all makes sense.  http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=33855.0

I found a post with an email contact for S/H vessels hulaman@tiscali.co.uk but no reply from him so found these

http://www.cleaningspot.co.uk/acatalog/De-Ionising_resin_and_water_softener_resin.html

Is this about the right price? £79 + vat  11lltr 8 x 17" or anywhere better.

Thanks
Wayne

cleantech have run out of re-con' DI units but they tell me they are about to start selling brand new ones at 68 quid + VAT!!!!!!!!!!
you may need to ring them as these are not yet on the website.

11 Ltr that is. ;)

Thanks again Tony

The moths will be flying out of the wallet on Wednesday and a few hrs on the phone no doubt.

Anyone have any S/H decent stuff for sale for DI van set up? before I have to buy new. Constantly checking the Used equipment section but still on the learning curve and not 100% sure of some of the tech jargon. (Poles mainly)

Thanks again
