I have a look and see who's due to go up it might mean only 10- 15 jobs should go up but if i all of a sudden put em up by 20% even I think I'd lose some 😂,it took her about an hour to work out your earning 80k plus a year and thought sod that. Having an increase right across the board is bound to result in some cancellations especially 20% increases I try and keep it to 1 1/2-2% each time unless it's been years.

If that what she thinks, she's stupid. Turn over as you know is different to earning.
Some will cancel but others will be happy knowing they deal with a growing successful business. Even if hes crap  ::)roll

I was joking about being crap  ;)  sorry no rollies

You put them up 20% that's tricky but there's gonna come a time you'll have to put it up again for a rise for yourself and the business,if you haven't had grief with the VAT part this will get em cancelling imo. Some will stay and understand I'm sure but if your area is littered with non VAT window cleaners I can see problems, commercial couldn't care less if your charging VAT they all pay it so understand it's the domestics your bound to have problems with, although we are in the 21st century a lot of people still can't get there head around a window cleaner and 80 grand a year and that's a fact when you listen to people that haven't a clue. It's good they don't have a clue what you can earn cleaning windows charging VAT and telling them is a good reason for them to stop the attitude of he's a nice bloke he's been cleaning our windows for ages to Jesus he earns 2-3 times what I earn,i don't think he needs my 40-50 every 6-8 weeks do you love lol.

Why would a window cleaner working alone and able to reach the vat threshold go above it as you would need to reach around £105k just to be at the below vat level ?
Second point, do you not think a customer would soon catch on that a shiner charging £40 to £50 for fifteen minutes work might be on a nice earner ?

Good point but announcing I'm now vat registered I want an extra 2 quid in the 10 won't go down well with the man in the house 🏡

At the end of the day, i feel that when your about to go vat, you should just take the hit and include the vat for domestic but add vat for commercial

You may roll your eyes but people are people in a country in uncertainty just to keep what work some have they should be happy,as said for a while I'd swallow the vat. Some people like customers don't share your dreams, just saying.
