Amongst a lot of window cleaners in the north west, and  window cleaners that have been at it a while in the north west, there actually is an unwritten code.

That code seems to vary a bit from....
don't clean in the same street as me.........to..... don't clean on the same estate as me.
Don't come here offering monthly, you'll knacker the job us for us, its fortnightly or nothing.
Bottom line is, the people who don't like competition either can't compete or don't want to.
The competition seems [to me at least] good for the window cleaners, i've never seen so many in nice new vans with expensive equiptment offering a real service. I think the closed shop days are numbered, infact i know it !!!

nice new vans, that comes from the use of the pole system, due to the fact having the machine in the vehicle.

There are more window cleaners now and one reason is because they do not have to use ladders to clean higher level windows.

As for the days of a closed shop being numbered, just hope you don't have trouble from any who think that way, because there are a few out there, infact i know !

Ive never quoted others work unless they asked me.
If i canvass and they have a window cleaner i say no probs thanks bye.

Pie in the sky morals doesn't pay the bills.

If I knock on a house its because I want the place, if they have a window cleaner I ask if theyd like an alternative quote.

The other window cleaner is more driven and motivated than you, end of.
