Looks like you on a winner there Jason - a nice little earner.
Dont think it would work for me - most journeys just local, furthest is about 20 mile each way.

£430 on diesel in a month, well done for getting it all back, but that would keep me going for six months!

Try paying extra for the super diesel, eg Shell V power. costs 10% more but mpg better by at least 15%

Phillip,
There was something on TV a couple of months ago regarding premiuim priced petrol / diesel vs regular petrol / diesel.  They tested various vehicles and vit was found that although there was a lower fuel consumption whilst using the premium fuels it still worked out more expensive although they are slightly better for the enviroment.

Using bio diesel will work out cheaper but most garage forecourts charge the same as regular diesel.  Check with your vehicle maufacturer before using it tho. I was going to use it in my Vauxhall astra but weas told it will lead to expensive problems.

I know a few people running on new vegetable oil, i would research first if any one thinking about it as there is problems depending on type of engine and type of diesel pump. Our local cash n carry works out at 70p ltr

I had a car tuned by this guy a few years ago.

He has a guide on his site as to which pumps can deal with veg oil the best
