lesson learnt i know but i dont think ill be giving them my money any time soon
to be fair they are cheap on some things but was not there fault I cant blame you for the poor customer relaations and is there lose, I was not impressed with them in suits at all at the show im a window cleaner not an exec, wcw if you read, listen you sell window cleaning stuff nothing more nothing less, you lost a sale for that reason I was gutted to be honest as were a few people there, X-line had it bang on, they looked the same as wcw last years and they was packed out lol

are you serious, they wore suits so you didnt buy off them

i guess if they wore scruffy clothes, that would have been wrong aswell  ::) ::)

Steve has defended himself well in reposte to Wizcleans allegations, but allegations of such a nature on a forum such as this can possibly have a real effect on someone's business in the real world and I am quite sure that Mike doesn't want to be dragged into anything of a legal nature!

Ian

No offense ian, but isn't that just the risk you take when you set up a forum?

Its a bit pointless to say "dont say anythng that could be liable because the owners might get into trouble and there's only a couple of us mods here" without sounding harsh I would say thats just tough luck.  If you dont want the risk then nobody's forcing you to have a bulletin board are they?

It's a forum.  People are going to say what they think, good and bad.

Sigh....
It is called the law, break libel laws and you can be in all kinds of trouble, not just the owners of the board..although as I understand it, there are disclaimers that can be made...but the person 'making' the claims.
Just as newspapers and magazines are in the public domain, so are forums, the written word, wherever it may appear has the same laws applied to it.
I'm not a lawyer so haven't a clue whether there is a breach of libel or not, but I'd be remiss in my role as a moderator if I didn't point it out.

Saying you are dissatisfied with the service received is fine, but the devil is in the detail as they say.

This is what the BBC says regarding the sites it links to

Quote
The BBC is not responsible for content on external website

Im sure that if there isnt already then it would be perfectly simple to put up somewhere that the sites owners /moderators etc etc arent responsible for what members post. It doesnt mean theyre being libellous it just means they are being realistic.

Anyway, my next door neighbour is an idiot  ;D

modified....swearing not allowed, and if it wasn't for the fact you were responding to my own reply it would have been deleted and not simply modified.

There was a case recently in the US where a firm has successful sued someone for millions of $ for libel posted on an internet forum. What is posted does have full legal ramifications.

The forum owner can also be held liable for damages if insufficient action is taken to warn/moderate users,..
I'm sure its part of the standard registration agreement (The think most ppl don't read when they sign up for the forum!) that such comments are not allowed.

Ive dealt with the wcw lads since i started as well as a few others. Theyve always sorted me out and theyve got a customer for life. I dont get the complaint this wizclean guy has got, if you return any electrical item to anywhere you are lucky to have it back within two weeks.

Carry a spare, its not wcw's responisiblity to tell you that, its flippin common sense!!  :D

With regards the whole delteing the thread thing, I dont think its necessary. All this thread seems to have done is highlighted the unreasonableness of one guy and the concensus amongst the others that WCW offers an excellent service. Dont think steve or the rest of the guys will be complaining to much haha  ;D ;D

PS wizclean i got two spare pumps, i can sell u one if u like and i guarantee it will be there by friday
