BNI is a business and the guy who runs the branch makes his living from recruting new members and signing them up. Our local man keeps phoning me up and offering me a free breakfast but I am not interested.

All this "networking" is OK for some businesses and it could be good for some window cleaners but there is no such thing as a free breakfast. It is very club like and they try to promote that image but actually it is a hard faced commercial operation. As long as you are aware of that and you know where you stand thats fine, go along and give it a go.

I clean a local club which is known as the R.O.A.B Club (Royal Order of Acient Buffalos ) where the door to the function /meeting room is, there is another small door 8 inch square,when i asked what this was,they said when meetings are on to gain access you knock on the door the hatch opens and you put your hand through and make the secret sign before being admitted 

Stan why not start your own club B.O.A.B

I go to a networking club every 2 weeks, I'm with the BOB Club.

So far I have made good money by being a member.
